A commercial freezer is far more powerful than the domestic models found in home kitchens. Commercial freezers are designed for everyday use in the busiest professional catering environments, offering high quality long-term food storage and preservation solutions. For larger kitchens with plenty of room, a chest freezer offers maximum capacity. If space is restricted, consider an under bench freezer or a commercial upright freezer in areas with higher ceilings.

The most powerful industrial freezer will hold its temperature even when the unit is being opened frequently, with tropical-rated models excelling in conditions of up to 43°C. If room temperatures are lower and constant access isn't required, a lighter duty catering freezer would be suitable. For a faster alternative to a commercial freezer, using a blast chiller can freeze hot food within four hours. Alternatively, a commercial fridge is perfect for short-term food storage.
