Bratt pans are generally freestanding units, featuring a large wide cooking pot with a manual or electric tilting mechanism for easy pouring and cleaning - sometimes they are called a tilt skillet due to this design feature. With large capacities of up to 120 litres, a bratt pan is often used alongside a cooking kettle and is an excellent choice for kitchens or canteens needing to cook huge quantities of food in one go.
